Whoopi Goldberg recently made an unexpected professional shift after being forced to leave The View.
According to Screen Rant, the Sister Act actress has become a writer, revealing that she has “co-written a graphic novel” titled The Change.
The novel’s synopsis says, “The story centers on Isabel Frost, a wife, mother, and grandmother who feels that life isn’t what she expected it to be.”
“Even though she’s got an amazing support network of family and fellow gamers, things have become stagnant for Isabel. But as her body adjusts to menopause, Isabel finds herself developing powerful abilities.”
“With the assistance of her best friend and her comic book-loving grandson, Isabel decides to embrace the new direction of her life and become the Change.”
The first glimpse at the comic book cover has been unveiled, according to media reports.
The news broke after Whoopi was apparently asked to leave The View.
According to The Sun, “the show’s bosses have asked Whoopi to leave the show due to her toxic behavior.”
A source told Radar Online in December 2022, “Executives have grown tired of Whoopi’s constant on-air episodes and believe they are driving viewers away.”
For the uninitiated, Whoopi was suspended from the show for two weeks last year for making “hurtful” remarks regarding Jewish people and the Holocaust.
