six clubs were in the same group of last season 2022/2023 Uefa Europa league,and co-incidentally appears in the same group of this season 2023/2024 UCL.
1.Arsenals(England)
Arsenals start their Europa league journey last season in the Group A,paired with PSV,BODO/GLIMT and FC ZURICH.
The gunners tops the group with 15 points, won 5 and lost 1 scoring 8 goals and conceded 3 after 6 games in the group stage.with their incredible form in both local and European competition,Arsenal were one of the club pundits believe could win the trophy.But Sporting CP,make sure that would not be achieved by eliminating them on 5-3 on penalties after both legs ended in a drawn game 2:2 and 1:1 respectively.

4.Real Sociedad(Spain)
Real Sociedad were the winners of group(E)with Manchester United,FC Sherriff and Omonia Nicosia.they won 5 games and lost only 1 to Man U.amassing a total of 15 points.which they scored 10 and concedes 2.they had same statistics with manchester United but only a goal separated them.
Real Sociedad after the impressive run in the group stage, they faced Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma in the knockout stage play offs but their best wasn’t enough to merit a progression to the next stage.they lost on 2:0 aggregate.They managed to place 4th in the La Liga to make sure they qualified to the champions league group stage.
5.Union Berlin(Germany)
The Berlin based club played in
european competition for a very long time.Union Berlin were grouped(F) with Braga,Union Saint Gilloisee and Malmo FF.union Berlin won 4 and lost 2 ,they placed 2nd with 12 points.They shocked Ajax by beaten them in the play off with aggregate score of 3:1.
But their dream was ended by Union Saint Gilloisee defeated by 6:3 on aggregate.
Union Berlin Secured Champions League Spot after finishing 4th in the Bundes LigaUnion Berlin did the unexpected by qualifying to the champions league for the first time in the clubs history which they ranked 4th in the Bundes Liga.
6.Sporting Braga(Portugal)
The Portuguese side were paired in the same Group D, with Union Berlin ,Malmo FF and Royal Union saint-Gilloissee.
The Braguista managed to win 3 drew 1 and lost twice.accumulating a total of 10 points but was not enough to advance into the knockout stages after finishing 3rd on the table.
Braga finished 3rd in the Dutch Eridivisie .Allowing them to qualify to participate in the play-offs of the Uefa Champions League group stages.The first hurdle was against Serbian side FK TSC BACKA TOPOLA
.Braga hosted and defeated them 3:0 in the first leg and 4:1 away at the Stadium Stadion Senta Serbia 7:1 aggregate.
Braga went on to get the edge over Greek side Panathinakos by them 3:1 aggregate after the two legs.in the last knock round into the group stages of the UCL.
7.Lazio(Italy)
Lazio were placed in group F of the 2022/23 europa league season which consisted of Feyenoord,Midjtlland and Sturm Graz.Obvious Lazio were expected by pundits, if not to top the group,at least be able to sail through to the knock out phase.

8.Feyenoord(Netherlands)
Feyenoord topped group F,which involved Lazio,Midjtland and Sturm Graz as listed already above.Won 2,drew 2 and Lost 2.scoring 13 whiles concedes 9 times.
The points build up indicates how competitive was the group,All the clubs had the same points ‘8’ and the positions were determined by goal differences.
The Dutch side face Shaktar Donetsk in the play offs of the knockout stage, Feyenoord had a 1 all draw away and won heavily 7:1 at the Stadium Feijenoored.
But José Mourinho’s AS. Roma and the eventual finalist ended the Pride of Rotterdam’s dream of achieving an European success.
Each side won on home grounds but Roma got the nod by aggregate of 4:2

9.Crvena Zvezda (Serbia)
The Serbian side were placed at the buttom of group H with AS Monaco,Trabzonspor and Ferencvaros.in which they were able to record only 6 points,won 2 and lost 4,with 9 g0als and conceded 11.
Crvena Zvezda won the Serbian Championship to gain an automatic qualification into the group stages of the champions league 2o23/2024 season.
Creven Zvevda 2022/2023 Serbian Championssix teams with two each in a group,which were in the same group in the Europa league 2022/2023 season, co incidentally appears in the same group in the 2023/2024 champions league.
Arsenal and PSV were in the same group A and B of the Champions League and the Europa League respectively
PSV and Arsenal once again draw in Group B of this season Champions League Group Stage 2023/2024.
