Simone Johnson, Dwayne Johnson’s daughter, will make her WWE ring debut at NXT’s Stand & Deliver event.
Simone, who competes as Ava Raine on the professional wrestling program NXT, had her Broadcast debut as a member of The Schism faction in October of last year.
Simone hopes to carry on the wrestling tradition started by her father, The Rock, a ten-time WWE champion.
The members of The Schism (Ava, Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, and Jagger Reid) were challenged to a bout in the most recent episode of NXT by Tyler Bate, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, and Thea Hail from Chase University.
In an eight-person bout that has been scheduled for the Stand & Deliver event, Raine is anticipated to make her professional debut.
Johnson has previously expressed his pleasure in daughter Simone for pursuing a career in professional wrestling. Johnson himself followed in the footsteps of his father and grandparents in the industry.
On The Tonight Show, the WWE star and actor said: “She signed her contract with the WWE, and you know it blows my mind. First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps. But more importantly, follow in my footsteps sounds cliché, but she actually wants to create and blaze her path, which is so important.”
