Selena Gomez News
Selena Gomez has surpassed the previous Instagram record for most followers for a female user with 400 million followers.
Three months after re-joining Instagram, the former Disney star surpassed this milestone on March 17. Prior to now, Kylie Jenner, who had 382 million fans, held the record.
Gomez’s popularity on Instagram is nothing new. She has consistently rated among the most well-liked celebrities on the platform for years. Yet, she has had a difficult time using social media.
In a 2021 interview with Vogue, the musician acknowledged that she deleted the photo-sharing app from her phone in 2019 because it started to have a bad influence on her mental health. In 2022, she acknowledged to InStyle that Instagram had once become her entire universe.
On her most recent post, the actress from “Only Murders in the Building” made a reference to the Miley Cyrus song of the same name, “Violet Chemistry,” by posting two unretouched images. Gomez’s tweet promotes the notion of self-love and comfort in one’s own flesh.

Although not the most followed person on Instagram, she is the most followed lady. Cristiano Ronaldo, a soccer star with 562 million fans, is the rightful owner of the distinction.
