Chris Hughton seals contract with GFA
According to confirmed reports, Chris Hughton has agreed to a three-year contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The report claims that Ghana’s entry into the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations competition has been given to Chris Hughton. He is anticipated to win the 2024 AFCON and guarantee Ghana’s place in the 2026 World Cup.
Chris Hughton will be unveiled in Kumasi prior to Ghana’s match against Angola. His revelation was put off because of his father’s passing.
The former manager of Brighton and Newcastle United was appointed head coach of the Black Stars on February 12, 2023. He had previously worked with the team as a technical advisor while Otto Addo was in charge.
In order to formally announce his contract and so confirm his appointment, the Ghana FA has now set the date, time, and location of a ceremony at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
A statement from the Ghana FA read:
“Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton will be unveiled in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2023, as part of the build-up to the match against Angola.
“The former Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur manager will be presented to the media to share his vision, ideology, and expectations with the public in Kumasi.
