Radamel Falcao García Zárate, commonly known as Radamel Falcao or simply Falcao, is a Colombian professional soccer player. He was born on February 10, 1986, in Santa Marta, Colombia. Falcao is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished and prolific strikers of his generation.
Falcao began his professional career at the age of 13 with Lanceros Boyacá, a Colombian second division team. He quickly impressed with his goal-scoring ability, attracting the attention of larger clubs. In 2005, he joined River Plate, one of Argentina’s most prestigious clubs. During his time at River Plate, Falcao established himself as a formidable striker, scoring 34 goals in 90 appearances.
