Priyanka Chopra is a prominent Indian actress, singer, producer, and philanthropist who was born on July 18, 1982, in Jamshedpur, India.
She is one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood and has made a name for herself in Hollywood as well.
Chopra was born to Ashok and Madhu Chopra, both of whom were physicians in the Indian Army. She spent her childhood in various parts of India due to her parents’ frequent transfers. She attended several schools, including La Martiniere Girls’ School in Lucknow and St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly.
In 2000, Priyanka won the Miss World pageant and started her acting career the following year with the Tamil film “Thamizhan.” Her Bollywood debut came in 2003 with the film “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy.”
She then went on to appear in several commercially successful films such as “Andaaz,” “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,” “Krrish,” and “Don.”
Chopra’s breakthrough role came in the film “Fashion,” where she played the lead role of a struggling model. She received critical acclaim for her performance and won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Actress. She also starred in the films “Barfi!,” “Mary Kom,” and “Bajirao Mastani,” among others.
