Former Birmingham City player Jude Bellingham has demonstrated his worth to Real Madrid, scoring in all but one of his first five La Liga matches for the Spanish club.
Following his 103 million euro summer transfer from Borussia Dortmund, the 20-year-old England midfielder has lit up the Spanish top flight.
Real Madrid, who have a spotless domestic record, will now turn their attention to the Champions League, which will mark the official start of their season. Bellingham is set to make his second appearance for Los Blancos, against Union Berlin, at the Santiago Bernabeu, in a competition highly regarded by the club.
The signing of Bellingham was made in part in response to Real Madrid’s 4-0 humiliation by Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals previous season. The club has began to reduce game time for their veteran midfielders, Modric and Kroos, while giving Bellingham and other newbies more opportunities.
Bellingham, who is wearing the No. 5 jersey in honor of Zinedine Zidane, has quickly won over Madrid fans. He has left an indelible impact by celebrating goals with his arms wide spread and being greeted with the anthem “Hey Jude.”
Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, attributed Bellingham’s swift integration to his powerful personality.

Bellingham demonstrated a matador’s flag-waving gesture during a recent bout, highlighting his engaging personality. Ancelotti has primarily used Bellingham as a number 10, a role that the young player has excelled in.
Real Madrid may have discovered a solid offensive power to replace the vacuum left by Karim Benzema thanks to Bellingham’s easy adaptation and goal-scoring ability.
Given Bellingham’s good start, the club, which was previously linked with Kylian Mbappe, may reconsider their transfer plan. For the time being, the existing arrangement appears to suit both coach and player, indicating a bright future for English talent at the legendary Madrid club.
