Prosper Nartey Ogum DR. has rehired by Asante Kotoko SC to guide the team for the forthcoming season.making the former gaffer 2nd stint with the African giant.
The announcement of the appointment was made by the Manhyia Palace Friday night, according to Kumasi-based Opemsuo Radio.
Prosper Nartey Ogum lead the team to its first Ghana Premier League championship in eight years at the end of the 2021–22 season, Dr. Ogum left the club.
With his departure, a Burkinabe coach named Seydou Zerbo was brought in to lead the team in three important competitions, including the MTN FA Cup and the CAF Champions League.
In contrast, Zerbo was let go midway through the previous campaign after a defeat to Medeama SC at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium.
The interim coach for the remainder of the season was selected to be Abdul Gazale, an assistant coach.
With 52 points from 34 games, Gazale, who was also in charge of leading the club’s junior team, guided his squad to a fourth-place finish.
