Adidas reintroduces Kanye West’s Yeezy shoes for sale
Adidas, which ended its collaboration with Kanye West in late October, has apparently put some remaining Yeezy shoes on sale, allowing fans the opportunity to purchase their favorite footwear.
The German sportswear firm has formally severed ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following his anti-Semitic rants and other actions last year.
The fate of 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) in unsold Yeezys remained unknown for months until earlier this month, when company CEO Gulden announced the company would sell a portion of the remaining inventory and donate a portion of the proceeds to social justice organizations.
The first batch of remaining Yeezys hit the market on Wednesday. The sneakers are currently accessible through the company’s app “Confirmed,” according to the retailer’s website.
Profits will be provided to organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League and the Philonise and Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change.
The Yeezy products for sale will comprise existing designs as well as those that were started in 2022 and are scheduled to be released in 2023, according to the business.
