AC Milan top Serie A with outstanding Leao performance in recent clash with Lazio

AC Milan moved to the top of Serie A with a 2-0 victory against Lazio, while Napoli defeated Lecce 4-0, with Victor Osimhen making an impact off the bench.

Milan’s Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor both scored, thanks in great part to Rafael Leao’s key contribution. Pulisic scored on the hour mark, converting a feed from Leao with a powerful half-volley. Leao continued to impress in the 88th minute, allowing Okafor to comfortably double Milan’s lead.

Milan now has 18 points from seven games, three more than city rival Inter Milan, which had still to play Salernitana on the same day. Lazio, on the other hand, is in 14th place with only seven points.

Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel made numerous great saves during the game, keeping his club in contention until the dying seconds. Lazio’s late consolation goal was disallowed due to offside.
