Baba Rahman to PAOK Salonika

Greek side PAOK Salonika have announced the signing of Ghana  defender Abdul Baba Rahman, on a free transfer from Chelsea, this is his second and permanent stint with the Greek club.

Chelsea have announced the departure of Ghana International after a seven-year stay with the English giant.

His long-term contract with PAOK, which expires on June 30, 2026, allows him to return to the club for a second stint, as previously stated.

Baba only appeared in 17 games in all competitions during his first loan stay at PAOK, where he scored and assisted once.

The left back played a significant role which aided  PAOK  to win the Greek Cup in the 2020-21 being his first season.

He’s stayed with English side Reading FC, for the past 2 seasons where he played 49 games in all competitions including the Championship, the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Baba signed for Chelsea from Augsburg in the German Bundisliga in August 2015.

After several loan spells at Schalke 04, Stade Reims, and RCD Mallorca, Baba is making permanent move from Chelsea.

He’s is looking forward to regain his national team player status which he has not enjoyed recently due to injuries.

The 29-year-old has already has 51 international caps for Ghana since making his debut in September 2014 and was in the squad for the 2022 FIFA world Cup in Qatar and other tournaments
