The Weeknd becomes first artist to hit Spotify 100 million listeners milestone
The Weeknd is the first artist to surpass 100 million Spotify monthly listens.
On Monday, the Canadian rapper entered the annals of music history when the music streaming service recorded that he had 100,450,642 monthly listeners.
A few days ago, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande released a new remix of the song “Die For You.”
According to Billboard, the most recent record puts The Weeknd far ahead of his contemporaries, including Miley Cyrus (82.5 million listeners), Taylor Swift (80.3 million), and rapper Drake (68.6 million).

The Save Your Tears singer’s most-streamed songs on Spotify right now include Blinding Lights, Creepin’, Die For You, and Starboy.
The Weeknd earlier made news when, with 94.734 million monthly listeners, he shattered the previous record set by all other artists on Spotify.
